Five points to note when using a concrete pump truck

(1) Safe driving of pump trucks

When a pump truck is in motion, it is very similar to a hydraulic truck crane, except that it carries more things, is heavier, and has a higher center of gravity. This is more detrimental to maintaining driving stability, so it should be driven more carefully.

(2) Stability of the material spreading operation

When spreading materials, the pump truck must deploy its outriggers. It is not allowed to deploy the spreading arm without deploying the outriggers. Therefore, the stable area of the spreading operation is the rectangle drawn by the lines connecting the centers of the outriggers. Since the pump truck has no counterweight, the overturning moment is large, and there is no torque limiter protection, the working stability must be absolutely guaranteed. The method adopted is to increase the span between the outriggers and move the overturning line outward. Since the working stability of the pump truck is calculated based on the fully extended arm spreading state, it does not have uncertainties like lifting operations, so it will not overturn under normal circumstances. However, it is absolutely not allowed to use the pump truck for lifting, because the pump truck design does not calculate the lifting conditions, and the uncertainties brought by lifting are not taken into account. If the pump truck arm is used for lifting, there will be hidden dangers of accidents.

(3) Rotation limit

There are many hydraulic oil pipes and fabric pipe joints on the pump truck. Excessive one-way rotation is not allowed. Usually, a limit switch is used to alarm. The allowable range is 360 degrees.

(4) Operation site

The pump truck operation should choose a flat and solid site to set up the outriggers, and there should be a certain distance from the slope. The single-leg support reaction force is very large, so landslides must be prevented. There must be no high-voltage wires or exposed wires within the operation range to prevent electric shock accidents caused by the boom.

(5) Safety inspection before pump truck operation

① The transfer case should be turned to the operation state, and the "operation" indicator light on the pump truck should be on.

② The power take-off operation switch key should be removed and put away.

③ The vehicle gear lever should be in the direct gear position.

④ The outriggers should be set up according to regulations, the entire machine should be leveled, and the tires should be about 50mm off the ground.

⑤ The chassis diesel engine speed, water temperature, hydraulic pressure, oil pressure and other instrument indications should be normal.
