Safety Operation Specifications for Concrete Pump Truck

May. 11, 2026

1. Site Selection

The working site shall be kept as far away as possible from obstacles such as high‑voltage power lines.

2. Pre‑operation Inspection

The power switch of the operating console shall be in the OFF position; the concrete displacement handle and the reversing handle of the mixing device shall be at the neutral position.

3. Outrigger Operation

The concrete pump truck shall be placed horizontally. The supporting ground shall be flat and solid to prevent subsidence during operation. The outriggers shall stably and reliably support the whole machine and be securely locked.

4. Boom Operation

When extending or retracting the boom from the folded state, the specified sequence must be followed strictly. Slewing operation of the boom shall only be carried out after the boom is completely lifted off the boom bracket.
The boom shall not be operated under storm conditions or when wind force reaches Grade 8 or above (wind speed 16–17 m/s). Under no circumstances shall the boom be used for lifting work.

5. Pumping Operation

Contact the operator at the end hose before starting or stopping pumping. The bending radius of the end hose shall not be less than 1 m, and sharp bending is prohibited.
Before disassembling a clogged pipeline, perform reverse pumping 2 to 3 times, and confirm there is no residual pressure in the pipeline prior to disassembly.

6. Post‑operation Inspection

Retract the boom fully onto the boom bracket; retract all outriggers completely and insert locking pins. Turn the power switch of the operating console to the OFF position.

7. Accumulator Requirements

Only nitrogen shall be filled into the accumulator. Flammable and explosive gases such as oxygen and hydrogen are prohibited.

8. Emergency Stop Buttons

Concrete pump trucks are equipped with multiple emergency stop buttons located on outrigger control valves, wired/wireless remote‑control systems and control boxes. Pressing any single emergency stop button can shut down the machine in case of emergency.
If an emergency stop button malfunctions, the machine cannot be shut down rapidly under sudden hazards. Therefore, the function of emergency stop buttons must be inspected before each operation.
When an emergency stop button is pressed, the electrical system is cut off and solenoid valves are closed accordingly. Leakage in the hydraulic system may cause failures such as boom lowering, which cannot be resolved by pressing the emergency stop button.
