Maintenance Specifications for Concrete Pump Trucks
May. 07, 2026
Daily Inspection of Concrete Pump Trucks
To ensure normal equipment operation and avoid construction delay, operators shall conduct frequent inspection and maintenance before and during construction.
Check the hydraulic oil level and quality. Qualified hydraulic oil shall be light yellow and transparent without emulsification or turbidity; replace it immediately if abnormal.
Fill all grease points fully; fill the main water tank and standby water tank with clean water.
Inspect the wear of cutting ring and spectacle plate, replace them promptly if severely worn. Ensure the concrete piston is well sealed with no mortar leaking into the water tank.
Check the lubrication system: the indicator rod of the progressive oil distributor shall move back and forth, and lubricant shall overflow from the bearing positions of S-valve swing arm and mixing shaft.
Check the vacuum gauge on the suction filter of the main oil pump; the reading shall stay in the green zone and not exceed 0.035 MPa.
Inspect the hydraulic system for oil leakage and seepage.
Check the wear degree of concrete delivery pipes by tapping, and verify the tight sealing of all pipe joints.
Chassis Maintenance
Replace engine oil, oil filter and fine diesel filter after the first 50 working hours; clean the coarse diesel filter and air filter. Thereafter, replace them every 250 working hours. Only engine oil of the same brand and specification can be refilled.
Check the engine oil level every 10 working hours or every day during operation, and replenish oil in a timely manner if insufficient.
Replace the gear oil of the power take-off transfer case after the first 200 working hours; subsequently replace it every 1000 working hours or every six months. Refill grease for transfer case bearings every 1000 working hours.

Pumping System Maintenance
Check the level and quality of hydraulic oil every 8 working hours, replenish or replace as needed. The refilled hydraulic oil must be the same grade as the original Esso H46. Completely replace the hydraulic oil every 20,000 cubic meters of concrete pumping or every six months; clean the oil tank and drain oil from all oil cylinders during oil replacement.
Check the lubricant level every 8 working hours. Non-extreme pressure semi-fluid lithium base grease is recommended. Ensure lubricant overflows at the connecting water tank of concrete cylinder, upper and lower bearing seats of S-valve and mixing end seat.
Adjust the clearance between spectacle plate and cutting ring after pumping 3,000 cubic meters; replace worn parts immediately. Keep the concrete piston well sealed to prevent mortar from entering the water tank.
Inspect the wear of S-valve and its bearings after 500 working hours, and replace shaft sleeve and taper sleeve when necessary.
Replace the filter element immediately if the vacuum gauge pointer enters the red zone (over 0.04 MPa).
Inspect all systems before startup to ensure normal system pressure and no hydraulic leakage.
Boom & Upper Structure Maintenance
Completely replace the gear oil of slewing reducer after the first 100 working hours, and replace it every 1000 working hours or every six months afterwards. Nanhai 85W-90 heavy-duty gear oil is recommended with a filling volume of 8 liters.
Inspect and fill No.3 calcium base grease for all hinge points of boom and outrigger, slewing large gear bearing and lubrication nozzles of slewing reducer gear shaft end every 60 working hours.
Adopt delivery pipes, pipe clamps and safety locks with standard pipe diameter and wall thickness to reduce pumping risks and failures.
Rotate delivery pipes regularly for even wear and longer service life: rotate straight pipes 120° clockwise and bent pipes 180° after pouring about 5,000 cubic meters.
Regularly inspect all welds of slewing platform, boom and outriggers. Contact the manufacturer immediately for professional treatment once weld cracking is found.
Thoroughly clean the whole pump truck after each pumping operation. It is strictly forbidden to leave residual concrete inside delivery pipes.
