Concrete Pump Truck Maintenance Guide: Daily Inspection and Service Checklist

1. Daily Inspection of Concrete Pump Truck

Before starting construction, operators should carefully check the following items:
1. Check Hydraulic Oil Level and Quality
Inspect the hydraulic oil level regularly. The hydraulic oil should appear light yellow, clean, and transparent without emulsification or cloudiness.
If the oil becomes contaminated, milky, or unclear, it must be replaced immediately to prevent hydraulic system damage.
2. Check Lubrication System and Water Tank
Fill the grease lubrication system with sufficient grease.
Fill the main water tank and backup water tank with clean water before operation.
Ensure the lubrication system is working properly.
3. Inspect Cutting Ring and Wear Plate
Check the wear condition of the cutting ring and spectacle wear plate.
If excessive wear is found, replace them immediately.
Also check whether the concrete piston seals are working properly. No mortar or concrete slurry should leak into the water tank.
4. Check Automatic Lubrication System
Confirm that the progressive grease distributor is operating correctly.
During operation:
The indicator rod of the progressive distributor should move back and forth normally.
Lubricating grease should overflow from:
S-pipe swing arm bearing
Agitator shaft bearing
This indicates that the bearings are receiving proper lubrication.
5. Check Hydraulic Oil Suction Filter Vacuum Gauge
Check the vacuum gauge on the main hydraulic pump suction filter.
The pointer should remain within the green zone.
The vacuum pressure should not exceed:
0.035 MPa
If the reading exceeds the specified value, inspect or replace the filter element.
6. Inspect Hydraulic System Leakage
Check all hydraulic components, pipelines, and connections.
There should be no:
Hydraulic oil leakage
Oil seepage
Loose hydraulic fittings
7. Check Concrete Delivery Pipeline
Inspect the concrete delivery pipes by tapping method to determine wear conditions.
Check that:
Pipe joints are properly sealed
Pipe clamps and safety locks are correctly installed
2. Chassis Maintenance of Concrete Pump Truck

The truck chassis is the foundation of the entire concrete pump system. Regular maintenance helps ensure reliable operation.
Engine Oil and Filter Maintenance
First Maintenance
After the first 50 operating hours, replace:
Engine oil
Engine oil filter
Diesel fine filter
Clean:
Diesel coarse filter
Air filter
Regular Maintenance
After the initial service, engine oil should generally be replaced every:
250 operating hours
When adding engine oil, always use the same grade and specification recommended by the manufacturer.
Daily Engine Oil Inspection
During operation:
Check engine oil level every 10 hours or daily.
Refill immediately if the oil level is insufficient.
Power Take-Off Gearbox Maintenance
The gear oil inside the power take-off gearbox should be replaced:
First replacement: after 200 operating hours
Afterwards: every 1000 operating hours or every 6 months
The bearings inside the power take-off gearbox should be greased every:
1000 operating hours
3. Concrete Pumping System Maintenance
The pumping system is the core working component of a concrete pump truck. Regular maintenance is critical for stable pumping performance.
Hydraulic Oil Maintenance
Check hydraulic oil level and quality every:
8 operating hours
If necessary, add or replace hydraulic oil.
Important:
The new hydraulic oil must have the same grade as the existing oil.
The factory-filled hydraulic oil is generally Esso H46 hydraulic oil.
Complete hydraulic oil replacement is recommended after:
Pumping approximately 20,000 cubic meters of concrete
Or operating for 6 months
During oil replacement:
Clean the hydraulic oil tank
Drain hydraulic cylinders completely
Lubrication System Maintenance
Check lubrication grease level every:
8 operating hours
Recommended grease:
Non-extreme-pressure semi-fluid lithium grease
During concrete pumping, grease should overflow from:
Concrete cylinder water tank connection
S-pipe large and small bearing seats
Agitator end bearing seat
This ensures proper lubrication of moving parts.
Wear Plate and Cutting Ring Inspection
After pumping approximately:
3,000 cubic meters of concrete
Check the clearance between:
Cutting ring
Spectacle wear plate
If severely worn, replace immediately.
Also inspect the concrete piston seal to ensure no mortar enters the water tank.
S-Pipe Bearing Maintenance
After:
500 operating hours
Inspect:
S-pipe wear condition
Bearing area condition
Replace the bushing and taper sleeve if necessary.
Hydraulic Filter Maintenance
Monitor the suction filter vacuum gauge.
When the pointer reaches the red area:
Above 0.04 MPa
Replace the filter element immediately.
System Pressure Inspection
Before starting operation:
Check:
Hydraulic system pressure
Pumping system performance
Hydraulic leakage
Ensure all systems are functioning normally.
