Safety Guidelines & Remote Control Troubleshooting for Concrete Pump Booms
Mar. 16, 2026
1. Safety Guidelines for Concrete Pump Boom Operation
Only operate the boom after confirming that the machine is properly supported and stabilized.
Operate the boom strictly in the sequence specified by the operation manual.
Do not operate the boom in thunderstorms or severe weather conditions.
Prohibit boom operation when wind speed exceeds Grade 8.
The boom is strictly forbidden to pass through toxic, flammable or explosive pipelines such as gas lines, and sufficient safety distance must be maintained.
Be extremely careful when working near high-voltage power lines, and keep the boom within a safe distance from power lines.
The area directly under the boom is a danger zone. Falling concrete or parts may cause serious injury.
In case of unexpected movement of the boom, press the emergency stop button immediately.
Only professional maintenance personnel can troubleshoot. Resume operation only after faults are fully resolved.
2. Common Remote Control Failures & Causes
No remote control signal: Fuse burned out
Displacement unadjustable or only increases: Displacement switch damaged or poor contact
One boom section moves too fast/slow: Excessive/insufficient receiver current
Emergency stop displayed during pumping: Low battery power
Forward/reverse pumping not working: Forward/reverse switch damaged
One boom section unresponsive: Joystick misaligned or water-damaged
Frequent signal loss: Poor antenna contact or strong external interference
Communication failure, abnormal indicator light flashing: Transmitter circuit board fault
Only fast gear available: Gear switch wire loose or desoldered
Severe boom vibration: Gear misalignment at joystick
